Good Health and Peace of Mind Can Be Rented
To work in Moscow while at the same time avoiding its hustle, and bustle, and street congestion–this is not only the dream of well-to-do Muscovites but also that of foreign businessmen, diplomats, and journalists coming to the Russian capital for several years. Until quite recently, those people could make that dream come true maybe only at GlavUpDK-managed countryside resorts, such as Le Meridien Moscow Country Club at Nakhabino and Zavidovo by renting comfortable cottages for a period varying from several months to several years. These days the real estate rental market has been expanding and the latest newcomer is the Spas- Kamenka cottage village for rent. Anastasia Volodina, head of the Spas-Kamenka clients’ division was interviewed by Diplomat magazine.

“Cottage village for rent” sounds rather unusual. A house for rent, that’s understandable, a country house, too. But an entire cottage village for rent?
With every passing year, more and more active and successful people prefer to live in the countryside. The advantages are evident. Modern cottage villages provide every kind of urban convenience for their tenants and have a well-developed infrastructure for life and recreation. When embarking on our project, we thought it would be prestigious and convenient housing for well-off people, such as professionals of leading foreign companies who come to Russia to work for several years. It turned out, however, that the circle of our clients was far wider. It includes quite a few Russian citizens working for both domestic and foreign companies and seeking to combine the advantages of the Russian and foreign lifestyles+.

What made you select Dmitrovskoye Shosse (highway) and the northern direction as the location for the cottage village?
I know the Moscow Region well and can say that the cottage village’s location is optimal from the point of view of both the distance from Moscow and the direction. You see, according to environmentalists’ observations, the Moscow smog “mushroom” covers an area of 20 kilometers beyond the Moscow Ring Road (MKAD). Spas-Kamenka is 26 kilometers away from MKAD. What’s more, Dmitrovskoye Shosse is justly considered one of the most environmentally-friendly directions. And the scenery there is just fantastic! The village was built on the shore of a big lake. It is surrounded by woods. The lake occupies an area of nearly 30 hectares and is very deep. Its water is clean and transparent. So, Spas-Kamenka is perfect even for diving! While you are at Spas-Kamenka listening to “the sound of silence” and breathing in clean and fragrant air, you can hardly imagine that Moscow is a mere 30 kilometers, or a half-hour car drive, away.

Your cottage village does not look like the other cottage villages near Moscow. Architecturally, yours reminds one of Alpine or perhaps Mediterranean housing.
You are right. The “casa tirolese” (Tyrolese house) single architectural style was created by Italian architects. The village landscape is European. There are no fences, so the village looks very spacious. Hedges, neatly trimmed lawns and a man-made river with “rapids” harmoniously blend in with the surrounding landscape. The houses are simple and elegant at the same time. They have red tile roofs and wood porches and terraces. The light white-washed walls are finished with natural stone, which looks stylish and cozy.

And what awaits the tenants inside? Is it a country house or a modern urban apartment?
The interior is like that of a hunter’s lodge: decorative plaster, masonry, marble, wood, and cast-iron details. It is both comfortable and warm in our houses. Each cottage has a sauna and a fire-place. Stylish furniture fits in with the overall concept. But if he wishes, a tenant is free to furnish the house according to his own taste or simply add a personal touch to the existing interior.
As to the conveniences, the cottages not only have all the necessary household appliances but also modern communications systems: satellite TV, phone, and high-speed Internet. Our special technical maintenance service ensures 24-hour operation of all engineering systems of the village.

Apart from the cozy cottages, what else is there in the village?
There is the Italian Due Pini (Two Pines) restaurant, a selfservice canteen, and a mini supermarket. There is also a hotel for the servants of the tenants. The village has a kindergarten for the youngest residents of Spas-Kamenka. The school bus takes older kids to an elite private school located ten kilometers away, on the bank of the local reservoir. What else does one need for a good and happy life!

Anastasia, what pastimes does the village offer?
Why, there is an ocean of ways to spend one’s leisure time. You can take walks around the lake (there is a path about two kilometers long around the lake), ride a bike, and play volleyball, basketball and tennis. There is nothing like going for a swim in the lake and going out on it in boats. And the fishing is great here! Apart from diving which we mentioned earlier, you can go in for underwater hunting. There is also an indoor swimming pool, a fitness club, tennis courts, and paintball club. As for winter sports, there is cross-country and downhill skiing plus snowboarding–it’s just superb! Not only does the village have its own downhill skiing slopes and a snowboard park, the famous mountain resorts on Dmitrovka are only a 15–20- minute car ride. Overall, grownups and kids alike have every chance to relax and actively do any kind of sport here!
Summing up, I can say this: Spas-Kamenka gives you a relaxed atmosphere, security, decent neighbors, comfortable housing, and many possibilities for an active lifestyle. All that is provided for the tenants of our cottage village. Join us. Spas-Kamenka is waiting for you!
